ApolloMed Selected to Provide Hospitalist Services at California Hospital Medical Center

GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Apollo Medical Holdings, Inc. ("ApolloMed") (OTCQB-AMEH), a leading provider of hospitalist, critical care, ACO and multi-disciplinary care management services in Central and Southern California, today announced that one of its affiliated medical groups signed a service agreement with California Hospital Medical Center to provide comprehensive hospitalist services for the hospital.

Under the terms of the agreement, ApolloMed will provide two daytime (7am-7pm) hospitalists and one nocturnist (7pm-7am).   The hospitalists will also respond to all Rapid Response and Code Blue calls and provide internal medicine consultations on trauma patients.  ApolloMed will also work with the hospital administration to optimize lengths of stay, reduce Medi-Cal denial rates, improve documentation and to increase hospital throughput.

Founded in 1887, California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC), a Dignity Health facility, is a 316-bed acute care hospital that provides services for the dynamic community of Downtown Los Angeles and its surrounding neighborhoods.  The J. Thomas McCarthy Center for Emergency Services at CHMC is the only full service, 24-hour emergency department in Downtown Los Angeles and one of the few trauma centers in Los Angeles County, complete with eight surgical intensive care suites dedicated to trauma patients.
